conceptual / knowledge based material

Up until recently, this type of material proved notoriously difficult to successfully deliver via a PC interface. Because this type of material is less visual and is often more 'dry', many e-learning projects attempting to deliver training have been singularly unsuccessful.

At SkillWise, we understand that the way this material is delivered in a classroom or from a manual is very different to the way it needs to be delivered via a PC.

We follow a multi-stage process, which commences with a wholesale re-mapping of the material to transform it into a more digestible and cohesive resource. We then identify areas that can be delivered via tables, process flows, animations and a host of other delivery techniques aimed at bringing the material to life and creating a highly visual and interesting delivery.

Material within the course is organised in a logical, multi-level menu structure. This allows users to rapidly, and intuitively, locate individual pieces of learning. Screens of text are used to introduce topics, or to provide knowledge-based material.

Purpose-designed graphical images are designed and built. In this example, we introduce a family of distinct and recognisable characters to help the user to learn about the different Housing Benefit rules that apply to each of them. Case studies are used to check the users’ understanding and to provide progress / competency data for the Training Administrator.
