How do you measure value? 

By following the SmartWorx guidelines, the assessor can be sure that they are assessing in a very robust manner, covering each criterion through a range of methods and over a period of time - they are also assessing very efficiently because nothing is unnecessarily repeated. 
 
The SmartWorx initiative uses : 
 
an over-arching assessment strategy combined with 
pre-defined visit-specific tasks and activities 
 
ensuring that learners are assessed in a very robust, but also streamlined and efficient, manner. 
 
 
For example: An assessor using the SmartWorx approach would see from the overarching plan that on Visit 2 they should 
 
aim to gain certain observations 
ask the learner certain pre-scripted questions to guide them through a professional discussion.  
 
All of the resources such as the question sheets, are provided as a part of the SmartWorx solution. At the end of the visit, the assessor might leave the learner with some interim tasks to complete - again these are provided within the SmartWorx package.

The SmartWorx approach is able to unearth valuable evidence that the learner may have generated prior to the visit, it prompts the creation of evidence during the visit and it guides the learner to continue to generate evidence after the visit.

We feel the approach towards developing the VQM system via User group forums, refreshing, democratic, and an excellent platform to discuss VQMs use and brainstorm potential ideas and improvements, not only with the Skill wise team, but other users of VQM, also, and in an open, collaborative environment.

The arrangement of a User–Group forum adds to the effectiveness of communications and provides an opportunity to meet other customers. You feel that your voice is heard. There is also continuous improvement made by the SkillWise team to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction. The User-Group forums have been and are really helpful in terms of meeting other organisations and sharing experiences but also, and most importantly, being provided with an opportunity to raise and follow up development needs.
